Innovation and experiential learning through discovering Andalusia’s cultural heritage

Ms Gabi Erasmus training in Seville, October 6-11, 2025.

I had a wonderful learning experience, both professionally and culturally, during the Erasmus+ course organized by the Europass Teacher Academy in Seville in October 2025. The training course, entitled “Integrating Creativity and Innovation into Teaching,” offered a rich, practice-oriented program that allowed us to immerse ourselves in Seville’s rich cultural heritage and learn about complex, innovative approaches to institutional innovation and experiential teaching that can be easily adapted to local conditions and are worth further consideration. Together with my fellow teachers from Italy, Greece, and the Czech Republic, I participated in practical activities in classrooms and museums in Seville, during which we learned effective methods that promote critical thinking and the exploitation of student creativity. Individual, pair, and group tasks provided an excellent opportunity to practice creative teaching techniques and explore gamification tools for use in the classroom and online. The many joint programs provided an excellent opportunity to exchange professional experiences and laid the foundation for further cooperation.

I will be happy to share my experiences and the professional materials provided to us with my fellow teachers, and I am confident that they will be of great help to us at the Budapest International School in bringing the members of our multi-ethnic school community closer together and continuing to explore innovative approaches that can make learning more enjoyable and motivating within the curriculum framework.
