Ms. Sara in Athens

“During the last week of January, I attended an Erasmus+ training course in Athens together with teachers from Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and France. The course focused on innovative and inclusive teaching approaches and provided valuable opportunities for professional exchange.

We explored the Universal Design of Learning (UDL), a framework that promotes flexible, accessible learning based on the principles of engagement (WHY), representation (WHAT), and action and expression (HOW). We also worked on differentiated instruction, focusing on addressing students’ diverse needs through strategies such as tiered tasks, flexible grouping, and flipped classroom methods.

In addition, we were introduced to several AI and digital tools that support lesson planning and inclusive education. Overall, my experience in Athens was enriching both professionally and personally. I built meaningful connections, discovered new teaching approaches, and reflected on my own practice, realizing that while I already implement many of these methods, there is always room for improvement.” – Sara Zatyko
