Do you know why grade 1 wore orange on April 27th? Orange is the national colour of The Netherlands, and on April 27th they celebrate the birthday of their king. Last week, ISB joined the party! Under supervision of their Dutch homeroom teacher, grade 1 played the traditional game of ‘candy-biting’ (spekhappen) and learnt about how Dutch kids celebrate. We also played outside and even got a quick Dutch lesson in. Doei doei!
