Grade 3B and 4B students spent 3 days in the Büki National Park. Their program was full of activities and learnings!
The first day they made a 10 km trip to the Esztázkő cave. During the journey they became acquainted with herbs and insects and then in small groups equipped with professional equipment they went into the dripstone cave. In the evening they had a plush toy hunting game in the garden. The next day they took another 10 km tour to Castle Hill with an excellent guide. They were lucky as they could see the most beautiful Hungarian orchid in its early flowering. In the afternoon they had a train trip, ate ice cream and watched tadpoles in the lake. In the evening children celebrated Anna’s birthday and after that they attended on an evening tour and had star watching by telescope! On the third day they visited the local Visitor Center’s exhibition and participated in water-monitoring in a water stream from the nearby source, where a lot of may-fly species were found which is a sign of the high purity water!
The three-day excursion was over too quickly, ended with a funny quiz summarizing the knowledge of the trip experiences. Sadly, they had to come home after lunch.
