Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Math Teacher to join our international teacher team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics in Hungarian for children in grade 5-8 as well as supporting the social and emotional development of students. There will be 16 teaching hours per week currently.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with ISB's curriculum and international standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages active learning and personal growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student learning and school initiatives.
- Communicate with parents inline with the School values.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education (or a related field).
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student-centered learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
Desirable
- 2 or more years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
- Experience with international curricula (e.g., UK, US, IB, or Cambridge).
- Knowledge of inquiry-based and differentiated teaching methods.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools.
