Job Title: Part-Time Primary Art Teacher

Hours: 10 hours per week (spread across the school week)

Location: International School of Budapest

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Primary Art Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will inspire and engage primary-aged children through both practical art-making and the exploration of art theory, fostering creativity, confidence, and a love of artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver fun, engaging, and age-appropriate art lessons that balance practical activities with art theory.
  • Introduce students to a variety of techniques, media, and artistic styles.
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression in a supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners and abilities.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
  • Maintain classroom resources, tools, and materials in an organized and safe manner.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
  • Contribute to school events, exhibitions, and displays of student artwork.

Requirements

  • Proven experience teaching primary-aged children.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English (high level required).
  • Background in art education, fine arts, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to deliver both theory and practical lessons in a dynamic, engaging way.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for fostering creativity and artistic growth in young learners.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in a multicultural school environment.
  • Knowledge of contemporary art education practices.
  • Ability to integrate art with other subjects or themes.

Munkaidő: részmunkaidős vagy óraadó pozíció

Munkavégzés helye: 1117 Budapest, Budafoki út 97-103.

Kezdés: azonnal

Feladatok:

  • órarend szerinti szaktárgyi órák tartása 5-12. osztályos tanulócsoportok számára
  • aktív részvétel az idegen nyelvi munkaközösség munkájában
  • szükség esetén felzárkóztatás biztosítása
  • eseti helyettesítés, óraközi szünetek felügyeletének ellátása a belső szabályozókban meghatározott óraszámban

Elvárások:

  • pedagógus végettség
  • magas színvonalú, naprakész szaktárgyi tudás
  • szakmai elkötelezettség
  • nyitottság a színes, nemzetközi tantestülettel való együttműködésre
  • derűs, pozitív, gyermekcentrikus személyiség
  • energikus, proaktív szakmai munka
  • kreativitás, rugalmasság
  • angol nyelvtudás
